The fish and chips was really good, as was the chowder.
There is no more table service number one, the food did not taste right the batter had kind of a cleanser type taste. I went there a couple of years ago (when they still had table service) and the food seemed better back then but still not as good as Barbara's Fish Trap.
The staff is polite and professional, they know their stuff!
The food was good, but it was cold inside and the service was slow. The tables and restrooms were dirty! I get it, it's Christmas time, maybe hire some extra help for this time of season. A little pricey, lunch for two was about $40.00 no alcohol.
We have been going to this restaurant for about 20 years. We thought we would give the new owners a try. We were disappointed that they have gone to self service ordering in the inside part of the restaurant they now give you a number when you order and you sit down wait for your food. The drinks now come in paper cups and we were not asked if we wanted refills or actually no table service at all. So disappointing as their food can get expensive and you expect better service. Omg!!!!! The waitress was an absolute doll!!!!! The food amazing and overall my value I got for the food was well spent!!!! Definitely everyone should try here!!!! Thanks for an amazing first visit we'll definitely be back!
