I tried to apply for an apartment here about a year ago. The guy I talked to was racist by asking me if I had a green card. I guess he thought I was an immigrant for some reason despite speaking perfect English with a Jersey accent. He then was classist and judgy for me having rental assistance and told me the apartments there are too expensive for me (they weren't. Which is why I went to apply.)
