me mother is there now .... food is not what an older person would like to eat, sugar in the oatmeal unbalanced meals and very little times has she received what she ordered.. my mother needs her food cut up so thay cut the fish,bread, and muffens into cumbs, they yes her to death, but noting gets done......some caretakers are wonderful and some just don't care....they dont seem to have everything in order as of yet...... they need someone to take control....rehab is Great....

My mother is currently at Merwick, recuperationg from an illness and we have found the nursing staff to be caring and responsive to my mother's needs. The physical and occupational therapy is excellent. I would highly recommend this facility.

I am dissapointed in the service my husband is receiving at Merwick. Its a beautiful facility but the staff there is incompetent, lazy and makes too many mistakes. The mistakes range from the wrong food, i.e. sweets on his tray when he is a diabetic, red meat when he is a vegetarian, someone not assisting him to the bathroom because she had to go on break! The list goes on and on.....its sad to say, but the few who are good there are being grouped with the incompetent.... I hope that this new facility gets its act together s... read more

This facility operates like it is still in the training phase. Many of the staff (including professionals) are confused and disorganized, and often oblivious to residents (patients). Food quality is inconsistent; sometimes brought food from outside for my loved one. Not impressed with nursing care which was often disinterested. Wouldn't recommend at this time. 4/2011.
