My 93 year old mother made the decision to move to Princess Gardens, which was not only a move from her own home, it was a move to a new city from the town she had always lived in. The entire staff at Princess Gardens have gone above and beyond to help her settle in and create an environment that feels like home. This facility is spacious, beautiful and well maintained. The activities staff are fantastic. They are friendly and provide all kinds of programs for residents to enjoy both in house and in the community. I took my 5 year old to visit family there last Halloween and they held a trick or treat event where kids could go door to door trick or treating. Residents dressed up and decorated their doors just like when they lived in the community. The kids and residents loved it.
My parents moved into PG in 2014, and immediately settled right in and made quick friends. ALL of the staff treated them like family, and from a son who lives out of town, I really appreciated that! My kids were young in 2014, and they would genuinely get excited to have lunch with nana & papa, and maybe play a little pool in the atrium. My Dad loves living at Princess Gardens. It's right downtown, allowing easy access to shops, or just taking a stroll along the river. And his wife is well looked after in the enriched-care area. They also have a guest suite I can stay at when I come and visit. What more can you ask for?
A clean, well maintained building. Friendly, welcoming staff. The lunch was delicious.
