I've never heard of a dentist's office making a patient go to their first appointment for a teeth cleaning and not clean their teeth. I took my 87 year old mother there. Not once when I made the appointment was I told that she would not have her teeth cleaned at the appointment. NOT ONCE. But after the hygienist came in and looked at her teeth she left.
