I am a repeat customer with good first experience. I tried again due to value and service. Got an estimate with ****** to remove two poplar trees and lift a maple tree. I showed him the two trees and he asked about a third tree nearby and I said NO, not that tree, it is my neighbor's. We agreed to service. I asked, do I need to be home when they come and do you need a deposit? He said no and did not **** my trees. I was out of town when they performed the service and they removed one of my trees and did the lift of the maple... read more
Business response:
I never told your neighbor they owed me anything, I told her what happened and asked if they would give me anything at all for the $1,200.00 tree. The $100.00 was indeed better than a kick in the teeth and $100.00 more than they owed me. I don't believe they had anything at all to do with the deception and I was grateful for the gesture in the end. I never threatened her and in fact by the end thanked her for the small amount she paid me and apologized for the drama. I knew who was responsible for the deception and it wasn't... read more
We have used Primate tree service 3 or 4 times. They have always a great job. They did exactly what we contracted for and their clean up afterwords was great. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend to others.
Love these guys! We use them for all our tree cutting! They are the best and really know the trees and how to cut them. They are also very knowledgeable about all types of trees. They are honest and provide great service.
Justin came to my house to give me an estimate for removing 3 large branches on a huge silver maple,in his opinion,he thought it was not worth the cost because it is a healthy tree and the risk of the branches coming down was minimal, refreshingly honest, will definitely call them if I need to
Business response:
Thank you for taking the time to share that!
Salesman named Justin sent a great crew to my home to take down 2 large problem trees. they had all the right equipment to do the job right PROFESSIONALLY, and cleaned up afterwards.. very friendly, courteous, respectful. For a great price , and good service I would recommend their service #1...
Business response:
Thank you for the work and especially for taking the time to share your experience Lionel, we really appreciate it! Hope you have a nice summer!
I am a repeat customer of Primate Tree Care. The last job they completed for me, was to remove a large tree in my front yard and trim a couple more. I paid for clean up and haul away. There were about 6 guys in my yard - a few were just standing around watching for the 45 minutes they were there. I assumed they would be professional and do their best in cleaning up as it did just begin to snow (there wasn't any snow accumulation on the ground prior). I have video of the job being complete and can show proof of this all. Fast... read more
Business response:
This customer is a liar plain and simple. I explained to her very nicely several times we cannot rake leaves in the snow. We did her job on December 28th, after the first snowfall. Being a liar she told me she had video of us on December 28th with no snow cover except for a small amount falling that day. Apparently she didn't have enough foresight to realize I can easily prove what a liar she is with both satellite data from a December 25th photo showing snow covering the entire twin cities, as well as NOAA data showing abou... read more
Our neighbor needed a tree removed from there yard and Primate needed access through our yard to complete the service. I agreed to help my neighbor and allow Primate to use my yard to access and remove the tree. After they left and I returned from work I found my backyard grass to be torn up from the machinery they used. Of course they didn’t do anything to remedy what they destroyed and left without even a note. If this is how they conduct business with little to no regard for people’s property then I suggest you look elsew... read more

This is a very good business. They have gone out of their way to help us out a couple of times now. The owner even came in the middle of the night with a head lamp and cutting gear to cut and clear a very large tree that came down across our driveway on the same night that we called. It was really quite heroic. Another time they came late in the day (even though it was a dark cold that evening) to get our work done on the date they had said that they would come. Not only was the work done but they cleaned up the debris and s... read more
