I went out with my 3 kids today and had a blast! Totally wore them out in an hour! Loved it so much, we're going back tomorrow! So beautiful! So peaceful! Thankful we live in mountains!
Wonderful place to kayak! Great times in our own back yard.
Very nice. A great place to paddle around for an hour or more. They took great care of us, got us out quick. Very low key and friendly. If you have more time, bring you fishing poles as there are plenty of places to paddle to and stop.
Definitely worth the trip. The water has areas that are high enough to wade in and other areas that have some depth unsafe for non-swimmers and is normally calm unless the wind from Grandfather Mountain gets involved. The staff is more than kind and helpful.
So relaxing and a nice get away. I enjoy the scenery while my romantic hubby rows us around. We tie off and eat a picnic lunch on one of several perfect spots around the edges of the lake.
