I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at Prevea. During my routine physical, the provider never communicated that our discussion had shifted into billable services beyond preventative care. I was later hit with unexpected charges, and when I reached out for clarification, there was no willingness to review or resolve the issue. I came in for what I thought would be a routine new patient physical to establish care, but ended up receiving a surprise bill for $348 due to how the office coded the visit. Despite not bringing up any new concerns and only discussing existing conditions already in my chart, they added a diagnostic office visit charge (CPT 99204) on top of the preventive physical — something I’ve never experienced at any other clinic when establishing care.
