Almost a year and a half ago we contracted with Lowes for a kitchen remodel. Recently the seam in the kitchen counter top began to separate and we called Lowes to see if we could get their help in getting it fixed (knowing the warranty was one year). Lowes charged us $75 to set up an appointment. John from Preston Woodworking came out this morning for what we thought was to estimate the repair cost. Preston Woodworking from Johnson City broke the granite countertop they were trying to install today. Not to mention scratched the hell out of the wall and pulled a light switch off. Don’t have another slab in stock and have to order one. Could arrive in maybe next week then has to be cut and placed on the install schedule. Looks like after July 4th now.... that is if the pattern matches. Took too long to begin with. There is a reason they have only 3.5 stars. Thoroughly disgusted.
Ordered counter tops May 9th through Lowes with a three week delivery date. Did not receive. They extended delivery time two more weeks. Nothing. After a three way call with Lowes Corporate and Preston Woodworking, they admitted that they didnt even have the counter tops and didnt appear to care one bit. Lowes refunded my money, thankfully. Then Lowes discovered that I am a local contractor and I purchase about 80% of my material there.
