Good to see the "Valley Press" back and covering our Valley again--doing a good job as well. The interesting thing however since way back in the 70's the SLVW district has had one scandal after another involving everyone from the district manager to the Board Member. Including a recall or two--maybe we should check these people out a little better then we are doing??
Good coverage of local news and events. Would recommend to anyone moving into the area.
The new editor of the Press Banner is doing an excellent job, specially for a small paper from tiny area. I actually READ it instead of just quickly skimming and then using it for doggie messes. I like reading about all the local activities (and want to support them) that are not covered well in other papers. I also appreciated the weekly delivery to my mailbox. BUT just learned after I reported to the USPS that my route delivery to mailbox has been stopped. There was no notice that I saw about certain mail routes were being stopped for paper delivery. I am not sure I understand and why my route was selected. I live in an area that has a bit of population and not so rural.
Barry Holtzclaw is doing a fantastic job of covering the San Lorenzo Valley Water Districts plan to apply Roundup to the Olympia Watershed - the very water we drink. Thoughtful, insightful articles that go right to the heart of the matter. So glad that you are the editor of our local newspaper.
