Rooms AC just never got cool. Bed was just slightly newer than something Abraham Lincoln slept in. But the rest was just fine.
In terms of location, you can't beat this hotel. You can walk to the Abraham Lincoln Museum and the Lincoln Home. My room was spacious and clean. I had a burger at the Globe Restaurant in the hotel, and it was delicious. The elevators are a bit old, and sometimes you may have to wait, but that isn't completely normal at an older historic hotel. You do have to pay to park, which can add up. Right across the street is the Celtic Mist, a great little Irish bar with friendly bartenders.
