The staff and admins are awesome. I have nothing good to say about any of the many doctors I dealt with over the past 8 years I've received care here, though. I should have sought out a different provider years ago; better late than never, and I've transferred to UIC adult beh health providers.
i hate this place so much they are so unorganized and unprofessional. kept billing me random charges and when i questioned them they couldn’t give me a reason or refund.
If I could give 0 stars I would, I was held here for about a week 3 years ago and I still wake up in a panicked state in the middle of the night from the nurses and guards being absolutely horrible, watched one nurse clothes-line a 6 year old for running down the hall like they instructed us to do for excersize; they threw away all my phone numbers so I could not contact any of my family and they forced you to eat cold (being left in the kitchen until it was room temp, most of the time it was a chicken based meal) bland food... read more
Absolutely horrible
The worst mental health unit I've ever been in. The counselors, the security guards, the nurses, the techs- nobody showed any deescalation skills. The counselors Jonathan and Q were abusive to every patient. Between literally screaming at patients, Q would loudly complain to pretty much everyone about how little he was being paid. It wasn't particularly helpful mid anxiety attack, but I assume its his only deescalation/distraction skill since its all he used. Nobody seemed to want to talk about mental health, either.
