I visited Premier Truck Dealership to purchase an airbag and dealt with a parts representative named Mohamad. I showed him the airbag currently installed on my truck, but the part he provided had a different fitting. When I pointed this out, he said he is “just a parts guy” and not a mechanic. While I understand that parts staff are not mechanics, a parts specialist at a truck dealership should have sufficient knowledge to verify correct fittings or take the time to properly confirm part compatibility.
