They charge you rent a month in advance so you're forced to pay for an extra month to keep your account paid off. This way when you go to cancel and move your stuff out you're met with a dilemma: pay for an extra month that you're not going to use so you can do the cancellation how THEY want, or tell them you're vacating without paying for a month of storage that you're not going to use resulting in them acting like you're just not paying for the unit. I am formally disputing the manner in which my account was handled. I am only nine (9) days late for the current rental period, yet I was assessed multiple late fees and charged a full month of future rent. When I attempted to make a payment to cure the prior balance, management refused to accept any payment unless the entire amount—including advance rent—was paid in full.
