I received a very nasty and unprofessional call from a person named Nataly at the L.I.J. Hospital Pre-Surgical Testing Dept. wanting to scheduled an appointment for me. I advised her that she was calling the wrong person because I have no surgery scheduled and in fact, I am not even a patient at that hospital! Nataly got VERY indignant with me, told me that I was wrong and hung-up on me. The receptionist was wonderful and the first nurse I saw was great however, with the second nurse asking about my religion and being told I do not have one, I was told to try to pray to god for help with quitting smoking. I’m well aware it’s a nasty habit and I don’t ever say anything disrespectful about anyone else’s religion because it’s not my place to decide a persons faith but this is a medical professional telling me to pray to god to help quit smoking. I'm guessing the staff changed since the bad reviews were placed. We got there super early, and we were still able to be seen with no wait. The person checking us in was friendly and extremely efficient. The nurse and doctor were pleasant and answered all our questions for my father's upcoming surgery. We were in and out as quick as it took us to order and wait for our food at the taco place down the shopping strip. I had a pleasant experience for presurgical testing. I was acknowledged as soon as I walked in and was greeted by front desk staff. The intake process was quick, and all staff were patient, friendly, and exceedingly kind! Medical professionals were attentive to my handicap of being hearing impaired and were accommodating. The entire screening was completed within an hour. Thank you, Northwell Health!
I have been there 3xs in the past 4 yrs. I always was treated with kindness and respect. I never had a long wait. I feel bad for the ppl who had bad experiences. I personally have no complaints.
