**GO ELSEWHERE** Have you heard the term “buying the contract” this is when a Relestate agent tells you they can sell your home for that magic number you want to hear in an attempt to get you to sign up with them. As I’ve found out, it all goes downhill once you sign. Lawson have over promised and under delivered going as far as suggesting we reduce the asking price they came up with by hundreds of thousands. Don’t sell with Lawson, use a large Relestate that actually has a reputation to uphold.
I am 1 of 3 owners of a property in Cooranbong. In June 2025, I engaged Lawson to sell the property. Based on their initial appraisal of $790k–$830k, I proceeded in good faith with a full marketing campaign. After 81 days, the campaign produced just one physical inspection. Bought a warehouse from another "reputable" agent, front of complex 10 months ago but had it advertised for over 12 months by this selling agent. Enough was enough. Approached Lawsons and Ben found a reputable tenant within 4 weeks and negotiated a lease $7000 more than what the previous agent was advertising for.
