Vital signs were not taken but the nurse documented vital signs. Dr. Desai was nice but was not thorough and misdiagnosed me. Office staff were difficult and it was almost impossible to get my test results.
Doctor was friendly enough but getting my results was a whole other story. Given the time sensitive nature of my treatment I would have to say I can't recommend going here.
This was my worst.Experience ever in the Doctor's office and I literally grew up in Cuba.Everything from the moment I stepped in was off.And he incorrectly diagnosed me.
If you are going to have a procedure or test with Dr. Pratik S. Desai, ASK how will you be notified of the results (e.g., phone call, follow-up appointment). They require the results before scheduling a follow-up which puts you at the end of the list. You may not hear your results until a month after the results were ready. My father was scheduled for a bone biopsy and his results were ready the same week. I checked my father's MyChart and saw the results were positive for metastatic carcinoma (i.e., stage IV cancer). Although he is a good doctor, I fault his billing practices. I had an office procedure. Unfortunately, Desai/Sentara didn't submit the bill until after the United Healthcare deadline so UHC refused to pay. Potomac Urology should have written this bill off because of their error. Instead the bill (almost 7K) was subsequently referred to a collection agency and has obviously damaged my credit. Why am I responsible for their error? I'm sorry but I find this to be immoral and unprofessional behavior. You know better.
Dr Desai has been my urologist for 8 years. He diligently followed my symptoms and performed my surgery. He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and uses a team approach to ensure every question is answered and that there is no bias or avenue that is overlooked as you contemplate surgery or aftercare. He is a genuine, skilled, and caring physician.
Doctor communicated everything perfectly. Timely office. Everything on site. Performed my vasectomy. Didn't feel a thing doing the procedure. No scars or issues with healing.. great job!!
Dr. Desai is truly one of the nicest doctors I have ever met. He is very knowledgeable, and maintains a great bed side manner, in a specialty that undoubtedly requires one.

No, they were able to provide everything they said they would Was this urologist's office clean? Yes everything was neat and sterile Was it easy to find parking at this urologist's office? No, I had to look for a parking spot for a long time Did this provider use excessive foul language? Not at all! They are always respectful and courteous!
