I saw Dr. Jani at the Lake Nona location. It was a late afternoon appointment, and I waited about 30 minutes to be seen. Dr. Jani and his assistant spent approximately 10 minutes with me. Two months passed, and I receive a bill a $236 balance after the copay. I contacted the office, and I explained that I have insurance. They asked I provide a copy of the EOB, and I did. Avoid this office. Dr. Prashant Jani prescribed the wrong blood pressure medication, causing me severe health issues, and the office then had the audacity to bill me for the emergency visit to fix his mistake. On top of that, they are practicing 'split-billing' for annual physicals. My insurance paid for my preventive care in full, yet the office is hiding that payment on their statements and trying to charge me extra.
