Adult PHP was the most life changing experience i have ever had. Staff is so caring and friendly, even on the bad days. Its group therapy program and there is individual therapy offered as well - both are great. Days are very repetitive which is fine, but if you are looking for some variety this program probably isnt for you. Being able to take a break from everyday life and just focus on your health was something that was very helpful. Lots of structure in the program, cant recommend it enough. this is coming based of my experience. it’s very very loud and crowded, . kids banging their heads and etc. they told me to open up during group therapy but i told them i don’t do well in that. i haven’t even been there for that long and therapist and staffs are constantly coming after me about opening up. i hardly know anything about them other than the fact that they are a therapist at this jail cell. and we do the same things every day like we are at daycare. the same listening to music, coloring and reading books. we don... read more
This turned out to be a traumatic experience for my daughter and we had to pull her from the PHP program she was in. They do not only focus on individual therapy but the whole day is group based therapy. There are patients ranging from ages 6-18. Patients screaming and crying and some more extreme than others. Was almost like walking into a mental hospital or Asylum and would have made my daughter's mental health worse than it already is if she would have stayed.
