I am giving one star only because the system requires a rating. Otherwise, I would not give any stars. Before enrolling my daughter in PrairieCare, I clearly communicated that our family takes a holistic approach and that I did not want my daughter given medication without consulting me first. I specifically asked that I be contacted if medication was ever being considered. Despite this request, my daughter was given Benadryl to help with a panic attack without my consent. Did an IOP here and it was amazing. The staff were so kind and really created a welcoming and accepting space.
I’m actually glad I didn’t read the reviews before starting care here, because they likely would have heightened my anxiety. PrairieCare’s DBT outpatient program has been wonderful. I feel genuinely cared for, and the staff is extremely supportive and compassionate. This program is already making a meaningful difference in my journey, and I’m grateful for the care I’m receiving.
In the month leading up to my daughter's intake, I asked them at least 5 times- every time I spoke to them- about transportation. I have work I can't miss every day for 6 weeks. They assured me, without reservation, that her school district would bus her, every single time. They had my address and personal information this entire time.
