My daughter had the best time at this camp. She had zero horse experience going in but now horses are all she wants to talk about. Unlike many camps they spend the majority of the day with the horses and ended with a trail ride on Friday. I highly recommend this camp and we will definitely be going back next year for at least one week.

I took my 6-year-old son for a pony ride, and it was fantastic! Gabby was kind and welcoming, and did a great job interacting with my son. I wanted my son to learn about horses, so I booked two pony ride time slots and asked if Gabby could teach him about horse care during the extra time. She taught him all the basics of getting the horse out of its stall, grooming, and tack. She was fabulous at teaching and letting him do everything hands-on. I highly recommend trail riding at the Poway Equestrian Center (San Diego Trail Riding Company). My child and I took the 1.5 hour trail ride with the instructor Gabby, and had a really nice ride on trails surrounding the property. We had some riding experience (lessons/camps) but even if you have never been on a horse, you will be fine. We felt comfortable and safe on Gypsy the little Mustang, and Nick the Palomino.
