Dr. Poulsen is a great Dr.! I really trust his expertise. Staff are friendly. Unfortunately, you need to sacrifice a lot of time to see him. I do glaucoma check-ups every 3-4 months and it takes over an hour before being seen. During my last checkup I arrived on-time for my 4:10 appointment and was not seen by Dr. Poulsen until 5:43. I suggested to contact their patients 30-60 minutes prior to having to show up but they say that they don't have the manpower. Wish they were more respectful of peoples time.

I did a great deal of research before risking cataract eye surgery. Dr. Poulsen was name that kept rising to the top. He uses the Alcon LenSx Laser, which I feel gives greater accuracy and safety than a knife. I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes at a distance and easily read a computer monitor without glasses. I wanted to spend money on fancy lenses but Dr. Poulsen said they weren't indicated in my case. He was right. He didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. He put my outcome ahead of his bill.
