Potomac Valley Orthopedists suck, especially Dr. Ira Gelb who loudly announced in the hallway that he didn't want to deal with my husband's problem, so he passed him to another doctor that he's been waiting an hour for.

I have visited PVO Columbia office 3 times in the last 15 years and have had good experiences each time. Dr. Geld has repaired a partial tear to my right Achilles, ruptured left Achilles, and torn meniscus. I have also had successful physical therapy at PVO. The office staff is polite and efficient. I would not hesitate returning to the Columbia office and Dr. Gelb.

To my amazement, I get a bill for $92 and I researched the average price for the bill. The bill I received was way overpriced. I called billing and spoke to Bernadette who told me that she has had other calls regarding my same situation, and that she would not adjust the billing and that the doctors usually don't allow for it. I told her then the price of the brace should have been gi... read more

Utter incompetence, carelessness, negligence, and deceptive business practices on top of all that. Having seen this staff in action, I wouldn't let them take my temperature, let alone advise on any kind of serious orthopedic complaint. They can't view your x-rays unless you had them done at their office, they schedule you with a doctor who's supposed to perform surgery in less than 1 hour and who has no time or inclination to see you or to consider your case so that he can advise you, then they lie to you about cost of equip... read more
