The team was transparent about what needed to be repaired, clearly walked me through the details, and ensured I understood the work being performed. The pricing was fair, and my vehicle is running noticeably smoother. I would highly recommend Potomac Automotive and will certainly return for future service.
There is a reason this shop has so many 1 star reviews. I just wish I had done more research myself. Had a horrible experience with the owner/manager Jay. He was misleading about the necessity of the repairs required and even lied about how our brake pads were not contacting the rotors properly. Looking at our old parts which were less than a year old, revealed that that was a lie - the pad wear was even with no pitting or other defects. I came in because my right rear tire had a slow leak and I specifically mentioned that I suspected a valve leak. Without doing any inspection, they immediately told me the valve and the tire pressure sensor are connected and both must be replaced together, quoting me $185. After checking with another shop, I learned that the valve stem and TPMS sensor are separate components and do NOT have to be replaced together unless the sensor itself is damaged.
