Always a pleasure doing business at Potomac Auto Care. We have been a customer since 2020.And they consistently provide quality service at fair price. They have done everything from state inspections to tires to a small lift on our Jeep, to name a few. Anytime we have had a concern, they have addressed it quickly and professionally. Jay is fantastic to work with. Great local business.
Came in because I had a burnt headlight. Asked how much it would cost to fix they said 55$. Pretty expensive in my opinion. I asked if I could just buy the bulb and fix it myself and he said I would have to ask "the guy" and pointed vaguely to somewhere in the back so I assumed it wasn't an option. After paying he gave me the box that the bulb comes in and said "you can keep this for next time, so you know what bulb you need and just buy it for a few bucks at Walmart" You couldn't have told me this before?!?!?!? Tried to schedule an inspection, they told me they would be able to do an inspection the next day. Came in the next day and left my car for 2 hours, only to be told that they couldn’t do an inspection. Turns out they outsource their inspections and didn’t care to tell me that their ability do get one done is a coin toss based on the availability of the other shop. They refused to take the car to an alternative shop and could only string together a lazy “sorry.”
Kind caring staff (Louise) and manager (Jay). I’m sorry other reviewers had an off experience but from start to finish, I had kind and professional interactions and the team had me in and out in hours. Thank you again for making the time for my urgent state inspection. Great group here…I will be back for all my vehicle tasks. Happy holidays gang!
We brought our car in for a simple Maryland inspection before we left for our wedding weekend, and they charged us almost 5,000$ to ruin our alignment :)
