Highly disappointed with the Potbelly location in Highland, Indiana. We went to the store during its posted business hours, walked up to the entrance, and the door was locked. There was no sign or notice on the door explaining that the dining room was closed, and there was no notice online indicating that customers could not order inside. A staff member eventually came to the door and told us they were short-staffed, so the store was closed to in-person ordering and we would have to place an order online instead. Absolutely horrible, will not be coming back. The employees were busy joking around and talking to take out order. When we finally placed our order the kid putting on the toppings on our sandwich was too busy talking to his friends to pay attention to what we were asking for on our sandwich, and stopped making our sandwiches several times to converse with the others. I visited Potbelly in Highland, Indiana, a day or two ago and spent about $40 on sandwiches. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. There was a new employee working the sandwich station who clearly needed more training and support. The manager briefly assisted him while wearing AirPods, then walked away and returned to the register.
