We were just at potato Shack yesterday. We were in huntsville yesterday and were hungry so my husband and I decided to look up places to eat and potato Shack really caught our eye. So we decided to give it a shot. It was the best choice. We really enjoyed our food and the prices isnt bad and you leave feeling very full. Will be going back.
On May 9th I placed a to go order at 6:45, was told it would be ready between 5-10 minutes. I arrived at 6:55, paid and was told it'd be a few minutes so I stepped aside. There was a pretty full line from that point on, at 7:05 I asked a waitress about my order, she said she'd check on it then took a phone call. By 7:15 I was upset, asked a waitress that had just delivered drinks to someone if I could just get my money back and go. I am very sorry for the issue you had on May 9th. Unfortunately the girls that ran orders that evening were new and did not follow the correct procedures. We had someone not show up to work and this made it harder for the new people because they had no one training them. It was our fault for not putting more experienced employees on that position. Had a softball tournament across the street from potato shack yesterday. Haven't been since they opened the new place (very nice). Got a bbq potatoe, 2 hot wing chicken potatoes. One was full of meat the other, very little meat. Also ordered two margaritas and 3 beers. The margaritas were awful. Probably the worst we ever had (maybe that's why they were only $3). I apologize for the experience, but no one was towed. You can verify this with hpd. We honestly thought asking 40 cars to move instead of towing was going above and beyond what we could have. Having a car towed is very expensive, so we honestly felt we were doing the right thing by asking all non customers to move their cars from our lot. I inadvertently walked in with a cigarette and was treated like a cancer. I was not waited on for over 15 minutes so I left. I have a bad habit but not bad manners!
Great food and great staff and owners. Great place to put carbs back after a bike ride, run or hike.
