About this business

Pot Liquor CAS (short for Contemporary American Smokehouse), which derived its name from the broth rendered from boiling collard greens with smoked meats or salt pork, is the creation of restaurateurs Flip Arbelaez and Doug Bell. Pot Liquor CAS offers regional barbecue favorites like Memphis style dry-rubbed spare ribs and savory mopped baby backs. A little on the expensive side, but well worth it.

It was okay, better than Famous Dave's, but not by much. The chicken was excellent but the brisket was terrible.

The food was pretty good. The ordering was a bit confusing. I wish there was a more defined 1 person menu. But overall atmosphere and food was great. Couldn't complain.

Food was very good and a lot of it! The service was excellent at the bar and it was clean!

The quality of the food is pretty good, and the kitchen knocks it out post-haste. There was a bit of a disconnect in the service of beverages from the bar. A simple draught beer took over 20 minutes, but my mixed drinks were 5 and 10 minutes. The drinks were delivered by 3 different people before we were done, making it seem a communication issue. The quality was excellent. Prices are a bit prohibitive, but I'm sure there is a lot of overhead in the location. I would really like to see this restaurant in a more neighborhood ... read more
