I would give this a negativity rating if possible. Worst apartment complex I've ever lived in and wish I'd left it a long time ago. Appliances are cheap and love to quit on you. My refrigerator was dead after coming home from a weekend away and I lost $400 in food, yet no empathy received or anything for it done. It was a "too bad" response. Awful. Run as far away as you can. After moving to MAA in 2020. My rent has gone from 1300 to 2400. This place is terrible, maintenance issues, bugs, and ac issues. The office staff is rude, callous and obnoxious, they will ingore your calls but come into your home unannounced. Nicole York is a disgusting excuse for a human being and should be fired after all of these reviews below. They came into my apartment without notice TWICE and violated my rights. EXERCISED FRAUD AND INTENT TO HARM SENIOR CITIZEN They committed fraud and intent to harm me advising me Oaks of Wilmington GA was comparable to The Element in Charleston SC managed by Greystar causing me over $1200, extraordinary stress and exposure to black mold, flees, and filth full well knowing I am an elderly breast cancer survivor having endured 6 months of chemotherapy and 90. consecutive days of radiation. Frighteningly unhealthy. The leasing agent misrepresented the apartment I rented to an extraordinary degree as I walked into black mold, flees, a horrid odor and a disgusting level of filth. With no sleep I scrambled to find another location as was reporting to a new job in days and departed within 2 days incurring over a $1000 in additional costs and extraordinary levels of stress. The units are in a nice location, within walking distance of Publix and Main Street. I had a 3BR2Ba and was there for almost 4 years. It is more expensive than most, but you know that going in. The issue we had came about after we moved out. We were on the first floor and had several leaks over the years from the unit above. The maintenance (who are/were great) come out, cut a hole in the ceiling, and put a large blower in the unit to dry it out. ROACHES. I can’t wait to move out. Wayyyy too expensive to just be having these critters for roommates. Disgusting! ++ you put in the maintenance request for pest control and they rarely come. They’ll just close out the request even though they never show up.
