It's pet friendly more than kids. There is no play area for kids.
I've been here nine months and I've officially signed my lease renewal. The maintanence is very fast (like, same day) and polite, and management is courteous and accomodating. The pool opened a couple of weeks late but I think that was just because they switched from chlorine to salt water and Dekalb took their time to approve everything. My only real complaint would be the insane amount of junk mail that gets put in my mailbox, which I haven't experienced in other apartments. Kendall and Alan on the maintenence team are some of the most professional I've ever dealt with anywhere. They respond quickly and with urgency. Great job guys
