Oh my gosh! I can't say enough good things about the Portville Veterinary Clinic. We lost our Dane, Peanut, to cancer right after Christmas in 2016 and the entire staff was so supportive and kind. They sent a sympathy card afterward which meant the world to us. We now have adopted a new Dane, Harley who just had an emergency and again, the staff had us bring him right in and he required anesthesia and sutures to repair an artery that he cut open. Our dog Ryder was hit on the 12th and it has been 2 weeks. We weren't able to afford the surgery, but with the overnite and the care he had gotten he was able to come home and have us nurse him. They worked so well with us on costs and have been very good on calling and upkeep with him and he is now walking and going up stairs and down stairs. Still on 3 legs as assumed he would be but he is healing everyday. I love this vet clinic and I appreciate everything they have done for us!!
Dr Flaig saved one of our greyhounds years ago. Our regular vet said she was retaining fluid. She continued to decline and it ended up that she had leptospirosis. She would have died long before the labs would have come back. Portville has a lab on premises. We love this clinic. With 2 dogs and 3 cats, we visit them often. One dog had a cancerous growth removed from her leg. He obviously told us about all the options, but he didn't push us in any way. In fact he felt that the dog would outlive its regrowth. Dr. Flaigg and his staff are very attentive to your pet’s needs. It’s very clean and they stay on schedule with appointments.
