Worst dentist in the area. Horrible customer service. Steer clear. Used to bring both of my kids until my daughter begged to stop going because of the “yucky nose” (laughing gas) they always INSISTED on giving her even when we said she didn’t want it. Now I will transfer my other child out of this practice. Arrived 8 min late to my child’s appointment at 8am and office refused to see him. The entire office was empty. Dr. West was absolutely amazing with my 9-year-old daughter during her tooth extraction. She took the time to explain everything clearly to both my daughter and me, letting us know exactly what was happening each step of the way. We went in feeling pretty anxious, but Dr. West and assistant Jody’s calm, kind, and reassuring approach immediately put us at ease. Portsmouth Pediatric Dentistry has been amazing for my 2 kids (3 and 5). All providers really are in tune with how to get the kids comfortable and they strategically "add items" to the dental visits as the kids grow and become more confident at the dentist. Both of my kids love going and actually look forward to picking out the flavors of flouride and toothpaste. We travel 30 minutes to this office, and it is 100% worth it! Highly recommend.
