We were concerned after reading some of the reviews - but the service and food we had was good and they were very accommodating to my vegetarian diet making sautéed vegetables and steamed rice for me.
Very nice view. Staff was pretty friendly. Portions were small but pretty tasty. The chowder was above average, nothing special on taste but did have lots of clams. We also had some sushi and it all tasted "smoked" and not fresh. The view was the best part.
The portion sizes, quality of the seafood, cook on the seafood, beautiful view, service, and local history on the walls made for an awesome outing for me and my family. It's not California modern, but it's quaint, in a large seafood restaurant in a 'Hey, this is Charleston, OR!' kind of way. Dining experience during the week, beautiful view of the bay, seating either tables or elevated booths, booths are great for business meetings or special events, no waiting, fast friendly service delightful dinner!
My husband come here for the razor clams. We have never been disappointed. No one compares anywhere we have traveled. Some are great but these are AWESOME. Whatever negative you feel...Be Happy... Eat a Clam.
We felt like the luckiest people ever to have found this place. It was late on a Wed and they could have easily said they were closed. Instead Rene invited us in and served us cold beers, fried crab legs (ORDER THESE), a fabulous ceasar salad and a killer prawn and scallop pasta that we shared. The warmth is palpable here. Anyone rating this below 5 stars just doesn't get it. It's not fancy, but very well maintained, clean and most importantly they serve bangin food with heart.
This has been one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Usually we have the Captain's Plater that consists of an assortment of tasty sea food. However, we found out the deep fat fried version of this dish is far superior to the sautéed version. The service is always good
The food was very good, service with an energetic smile and view outstanding I highly recommend this restaurant
Restaurant was easy to find, had a nice view and the service was very good. I had the grilled shrimp and scallops and the were excellent. We were surprised as how many sides came with the price of the meal. Prices are reasonable. Good value for the money.
