Tracing its origins to the year 1960, when the Porto family made the tough decision to leave their home in Manzanillo, Cuba. After living through the drastic changes that were taking place around them, they requested permission to leave the country. Immediately Raul Sr. was terminated from his job and sent away to manual labor for the duration of the wait period. Wife, Rosa Porto was also let go. Try their Potato balls, tres leche, tiramisu and caramel flan! So good i wanna buy all their pastries. Hope they have it here in SF too. :)

Lines always suck here-long and slow. so be prepared to feel like you're waiting to ride on a roller coaster.
The price for a full cake is really reasonable ~$18-$25, and well worth it.
This landmark has gained their respect. Every baked goodness is delish!
