While visiting family in the East Tennessee area I visited Portobello's Italian Bistro, I have to say that the food is outstanding. The service was great. They also have a gluten free menu, which is great because I have family that have been diagnosed as celiac so finding a place where we can share a meal without worrying that she will be glutened is a must. Haley was our server for the evening and she was very personable and attentive. I will definitely be visiting Portobello's on my next trip to the area.

Had the calzone with marinara for lunch. It was awesome! Baked perfectly. Son ordered the spinach ravioli, they were out, so the manager suggested the mushroom, which was SO GOOD! Will definitely go back for dinner soon. The menu is wonderful. The pasta is perfect.

Had dinner with my family there last night, it was amazing. The food was outstanding and the service was incredible. Can't wait to come back. My new fave!
I ate here last night with some friends and it was awesome!! I had the eggplant Parmesan and it was to die for!! Huge portions, we all ended up taking some home. They do not serve wine but, the manager was super nice and let us go get some and bring it back to the restaurant while our food cooked (that actually saved some money;-)). I had the misfortune of having dinner there. Food wasn't that good. Asked for things most Italian restauranys would have, and they didn't have any of the items. When asked by the owner how was everything, I started to tell him...and he did not like what I was telling him. He became angry and rude. I will not be supporting his business or his rude / attitude. It will be interesting to see how long they stay in business, with such behavior.
