STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC AND Dr. Portman. I'm not sure how they have so many 5 star reviews (maybe bots?) But if you are doing dental work through insurance, stay far away. I came into the office having seen their great reviews and that they are "in-network" for my insurance, and everything was fine up until the end of the visit. I have never felt so scammed by a medical office in my life. Came here because I saw they take my insurance on zocdoc. When I got to the office, they took my insurance card and never once told me that I was ou-of-network. I went for a regular cleaning and xrays. Three weeks later, got mailed a $300 bill by my insurance. I called the office, they told me don't worry about the bill, they would just take as much as my insurance would pay them for out-of-network costs. Very suspicious. Amazing customer service amazing Dentistry, would definitely recommend!!!
Horrible experience . The have the worst receptionist who is rude and has no customer skills . I gave them my insurance information several times . There administrative staff is very inefficient and lacks to inform patients of necessary information. They claim they mailed me bills I never received them . They overbill you and do send your claims to your insurance I asked for a name of her supervisor and she refused to give it to me and claimed her supervisor was not there . Portman Rimma is my cosmetic dentist and family dentist. His staff is terrific and they make me and my kids feel right at home. The kids are not the least bit afraid of the dentist like I used to be because he never hurts them. I would highly recommend this dental office in Brooklyn.
