I needed a day surgery procedure today . I was appropriately anxious when I arrived . Everyone who helped me knew their role well, intake and prep was seamless and the anaesthetic nurse was a magician, he got a cannula into my vein almost painlessly .. I was assisted so well in theatre and informed about the procedure and follow ups during recovery .. I had been so upright about this whole thing but it's done now , they got me in and out as speedily as humanly possible which I needed for my carer responsibilities.. Thanks PD... read more

Visiting Portland, and had to present at ED for heart related issues.....from the check in desk to discharge, I can't thank nursing and doctor enough for their care, amazing bed side manner and always keeping me updated with results....thankfully everything turned out OK...congrats Portland ED....thankyou again...

I have severe anxiety and after a 7 day stay in north ward ( spinal and pain issues) i was advised by ambulance staff that my elevated BP (hypertensive crisis)required me to attend the ER the next day. I feel betrayed by the ambulance crews assurance that I needed help after the attending doctors dismissive and quite frankly insulting consultation. I was so upset that I walked out in a state that I can only describe as suicidal. "Come back if you get chest pains again". I wouldn't go back to this ER if I was dying!!! I'm mak... read more
