3 doctors at a local clinic convinced me that after having several falls following a nephrectomy ( kidney removal) that I urgently needed to seek immediate medical treatment due to the dangers of internal bleeding and having a bp of 250/140. I informed them that I have had several bad experiences in the Portland ED and they offered to transport me by ambulance to Warrnambool hospital but I declined. What a mistake. 3 times in a week the nurse on call, ambulance service advised me I needed immediate help due to my BP ( 230+). 3 times I was left laying in a bed with a pounding headache and vomiting for hours then sent home. I have cancer in both kidneys and high BP is very bad for me. 5 hours after being sent home again my BP is high.

I'm lucky that I have open arms (DVA) to ring after such mental/physical stress as this and make me realise I deserve better and I'm an individual with feelings that matter.
