Going to the dentist sucks. No way around it. You spend a TON of $$$ and lay there vulnerable as a result of the cards you've been dealt, or your own level of home maintenance, which we are all guilty of slacking on. These folks truly make it tolerable, maybe even enjoyable. I mean, way to make an uncomfortable sitch as painless as possible (figuratively and literally). You will not regret visiting this office. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend Portland Dental. A regular cleaning was billed $742 dollars, and I was told my insurance would cover all but $176 - seems reasonable. Four months later received a bill for $566 - again, for regular cleaning. I'm not sure if they even try to bill insurance. I paid my bill and moved on. I'm much happier with Lovejoy Dental and they bill my insurance.

This dental office is the best in the West!!!! Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and the work they do is first rate!! Dr. Kaveen and his staff are rock stars!!! For anyone who is apprehensive about dental care, fear not. The entire staff are very caring, and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

The dentist offered a “free” consultation but then tried to charge me cash for X-rays, despite my having insurance. He also suggested removing perfectly healthy amalgam fillings and replacing them with composite, apparently for financial gain rather than medical necessity. This prioritizes profit over patient care and is highly unethical. I would caution against trusting practitioners like this—they may compromise your health to make more money.
