I think that they did the job, but talk about a headache. We were quoted a price of $930 but then when we showed up the price went up to $1200 without them even looking at the car, then before we even handed over the keys it went up to $1675. Talk about over promise and under deliver. Then when they were working on the car they called twice to try to upsell us on more "needed" work, unfortunately for them I had just had some of these needed items checked. Portland’s Best Auto Repair is hands down the best shop I’ve ever worked with! They repaired my 1973 Chevy C20 and did an incredible job. It’s hard to find a shop that truly knows and cares about classic trucks, but these guys treated mine like their own. They were super communicative, explained everything clearly, and their attention to detail really shows, my C20 runs better than it has in years. My son got stranded in Portland when the alternator in our car died. After having the mobile mechanic from Wrench.com fell through we had to scramble to find someone that could do such a big job in one day so that my son could be out of his apartment and on the road in time. Kevin talked to me and worked with me to find a way to get our car there, and have one of there techs start work immediately and even come in on a Saturday to finish the job in time!
