Dealing with Ralph when you want to quit the membership is a horrible nightmare. He makes you take an appointment with him only on Fridays after 7PM. When I told him it was a bad policy to make customers having to come physically on a Friday evening after 7pm, he blabbered non-stop about how good his policy was and how I had a bad judgment. This is definitely not the place for beginners. You will be surrounded by people who swish and swash and play like pros around you. It can get a little intimidating. And there is often a shortage of courts where you end up sharing court space. And it gets kind of awkward when the people sharing with you are better at the game than you are. Portland Badminton Club is a great place to play Badminton! You can usually find players of all levels that are courteous. Been to a few places where the players give you the cold shoulder because they think you are not as good of a player as they are or if you are not part of their group. Didn't find it here!
