I Love It!!!! I absolutely love to eat at Portillos. Sure they are a little pricey but the food is so good. They have the best chocolate cake on this side of town. It is to die for. I usually get their cheeseburger and fries and sometimes when I'm feeling I should probably eat healthy I get a salad. OMG - BEST EVER Portillo's started as a hot dog stand I believe on North Avenue. It's grown to several stores. This (fast) food is to DIE for. The store in Elmhurst, Illinois is decorated well and the atmosphere is great, upbeat and is always crowded. Yup, the food is THAT good. They have everything from Vienna hot dogs that my husband craves to my all time favorite of a Beef & Cheddar on a Criss. w/ Hot and Sweet Peppers. A for Luigi's If you want great Italian food definitely go to Luigi's. Everything is great. Staff is contiously making sure you are enjoying everything. When you walk into Luigi's you know you are going all Italian for the evening. PROS: Everything is Great! CONS: None
Italian Luigi's House!! Oh I love this place. The food is great, the staff is great & it has one of the most relaxed, cozy beautiful dining areas I have ever seen. They ahve an accordian player and a piano bar. Great place for dates, dinner, family gatherings etc. Highly Recommend!!!
Love it, love it, love it! I'm a diehard for really great pasta and have always had a strong perference for the taylor street restaurants in Chicago. But if you have to eat Italian in the western burbs, I highly recommend Luigis. The atmsphere is nice - fireplace, smaller rooms, large bar.The country rigatoni is wonderful!!! Portillos Rocks! These guys rock. Best hot dogs and other food. Drive thru efficiency should be trademarked. 3 actual workers standing in the driveway... one guy writes your order on a paper, and gives it to you to hang on to... a few feet up, another guy reads the order in via his portable radio... a few more feet up, another guy takes payment in cash or swipes your card into his portable computer thingy... a few more feet up is the window for your order.
