Great Service. – I disagree with the bad review that was written. I was not there to verify her experience, but I have been going to Dr.Elmer for years now and have never had a bad experience when I've taken my dog there. He's very thorough and patient when handling my dog, which is an english bulldog. I live in Spring and it makes it hard for me to go to Porter all the time but I have never had a bad experience when I do make the trek out there. DO NOT GO TO THIS VET – My experience of this vet has been terrible, unprofessional and overpriced. I was not there personally, but someone there witnessed my dog being punched in the face by Dr Elmer, the vet, in order to subdue my pet during her immunizations. My dog is docile, and was skittish, NOT aggressive, during the immunizations. I would suggest trying other vets in the area, such as Big Thicket in Cleveland. Beyond the poor service, the services are generally overpriced in comparison to other vets.
Excellent care+considerate of animals and humans – I was very pleased with their treatment of a dog who was hit by a car and had many injuries. She has recovered very well but the thing about the practice that stood out is the way they treated her, me and my preschooler. The dog received excellent, aggressive pain management. Apparently this is a relatively recent trend in veterinary medicine and I don't take it for granted.
