The owner Lou Richmond answers her phone at the most inappropriate times and never seems to be at the office. She is rude and expects you to just deal with her attitude and say nothing at all. The alarm on our septic goes off every 3 months and it has cost me over $4,200 in less than a year and the alarm just went off again. I mentioned my displeasure about spending all this money on the system every 3 months and Lou canceled my service contract and hung up the phone. Portage Septic installed our Septic system 09/29/2021. It was a new build and system. We moved in on 12/19/21. We started having failures soon after. The initial call showed that the lightbulb for the indicator that alerted to failure was never installed. We have no idea when our system in initially failed because of this. We noticed sewage in the yard in 4/22 when we went to have our land seeded. The pump has failed 6 additional times, and we have had to have our tanks pumped because they fill. Very professional company and will answer any questions you have. Lou is very understanding and does her best to explain the system and how it works.
This is a great company to use. Owners are super nice and very knowledgeable. They are very professional and prompt when responding to calls. I would highly recommend using them for all your septic needs.
