I had a great experience! Eye doctors are always hard for me and everyone who helped me made me feel comfortable and welcomed. From Emily helping me during my tests, to Bella walking me through the whole experience and greeting me with a kind smile. Love this place!!!
I got a prescription from Port Royal Eyecare in November of 2025. I bought 4 pairs of glasses using the prescription they gave me and had to keep returning them because they were wrong. Eventually, I realized that the prescription they gave me was wrong. When I called them to fix it, they told me that the limit for a re-test is 3 months, and I was outside the limit. So, just keep this in mind if you go here.
Today I had an appointment with Essential Eyes in Columbia. That experience was outstanding. However, they didn't have any eyeglasses that I was interested in purchasing, so they suggested I come here, to Port Royal Eye Care, their sister company. I was promptly greeted by Emily who took plenty of time to assist me in finding the perfect pair of eyeglasses for my new prescription. I stopped by here for an eye exam. First off, the office staff are amazing: Bella and Emily. But the really amazing thing was the eye doctor. Dr. Mallory. She should be an engineer. She has the most amazing analytical approach to making prescriptions, and explaining everything. Never had an eye exam like this in all my life. She was even able to have me try on the lenses she recommended using a modular glasses kit. These were for viewing computer monitors for work, so she had me test it out on her monitor. I recently walked into Port Royal Eyecare at 5:27pm and they close at 5:30pm. Bella immediately introduced herself and welcomed me. She asked how she could help. I explained that a screw had come loose on my glasses and part of the frame was no longer connected. I’m pretty sure before she could say anything I blurted out that I was going to have trouble driving home without my glasses. I admit, I was anxious. She calmly said “Sure we can help you with that.
