Just a disappointing experience. Reached out with interest in a used Ford Mustang Mach 1. Took 2 emails to get a response, and when I did all questions were answered over course of a couple of days. Was just about to make an offer and the sales person I was emailing with, Hannah, said the vehicle had a deposit put on it. I accepted that as someone beat me to an offer. This is a great dealership to do business with! Brandon (sales manager) and Mr. Dixon (finance manager) were a blast to work with and made everything easy. Trying to buy a car over the phone is usually a hassle with most dealerships, but not at Port Lavaca Ford! I was ready to drive 4 hours away for an F-150 Lariat. Before burning an entire day, I asked the manager Jeremy for a pre-purchase inspection (on site or off site). Every other dealer I have worked with throughout my life has allowed this. He declined outright. Jeremy told me the truck had a "500-point inspection". For context, Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicles go through a 172 point inspection. As this truck was not even a Certified Pre-Owned, I was skeptical that this just garbage he was making up.
