disappointed about the price of clams when I went to pick them up on Christmas Eve. they charged $6 per dozen to open. never go there again

Sorry you were unhappy with the price you paid for the clams. Opening and shucking of the clams is a service and there is a skill involved in doing so along with time and labor. The price is posted in our seafood market, as well as our fresh fish price list, catering, and dinner menus as to not be a surprise. We gladly sell them closed for a much cheaper price for those that wish to tackle that task on their own.
