I had to leave my Porsche in storage for seven months due to work commitments and purchased a replacement battery from Porsche Carlsbad in anticipation of needing it. When I reconnected the original battery, the car started right up, and the existing battery tested perfectly healthy. I called Porsche Carlsbad to explain the situation, and they graciously accepted the unused/uninstalled battery for return.
