I saw Dr. Popwell for the entire pregnancy and delivery of my 5th child. I’ve had some really negative experiences in the past with other doctors, especially with my gestational diabetes, and Dr. Popwell was so kind and attentive. I’ve never had follow up care as thorough for postpartum. He actually checked to make sure everything was okay, instead of the typical 6 week appt that could have been an email I’ve been through with previous births. I will continue to see him as my regular gynecologist while we live in the area.
His nurse was very welcoming. She took her time and was very engaging. Since I was a new patient Dr Popwell talked with me in his office and listened intently to my concerns. The whole experience was very positive. I was nervous because I've read other bad reviews but for me him and his staff were great.
Definitely the worst experience I have ever been through... From pregnancy to actual delivery.. He doesn't have any bedside manner or seem to care about his patients very much at all. I had a scheduled csection and it was horrid.. I was left bruised black and blue in my pelvic region. I had plastic stitches coming out of me months after delivery. I will never use him or Schumpert Highland ever again.
