Born in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn and raised in a NY Italian house on Long Island, I know what real Italian food is. Poppys is by far the best Italian food in the Jacksonville/Ponte Vedra area. There's nothing around that is even close. I hope they stick around for a long time! Highly recommended.
Growing up in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, I can honestly say that Poppys Italian restaurant is the best Italian restaurant in the area. I think we tried them all. It's authentic, it's delicious, has a full menue, great service, and has a nice atmosphere. Delicious garlic bread, mmmmmm. The cannoli is sooo creamier and fresh!! Highly recommend it.

They have the absolute best lasagna I have ever eaten. Tried lemonchello infused white cake for dessert. Divine!
Our first time going was last night and the food and service was excellent. The garlic bread is a delicious start. My shrimp & scallops Alla Rosa was excellent. Fresh seafood, excellent sauce and linguine. Husband had the Frutti del mare with angel hair pasta...Excellent! We look forward to next time to try their pizza and I hear the canoli is delish so we'll save room. Jasmine was excellent server!
Was very nice if you need something waitress was there before you could ask for it .
