Terrible place. It deserves zero stars. Look at all the 1 star reviews! My son was recently admitted after a mental health crisis. I've been on the phone for several days trying to talk to someone about his adverse reactions to medications. This is his 3rd day there. I still haven't talked to any health care providers. I've called 5 times in the past 2 hours to try to talk to a nurse or doctor. Sometimes the phone rings for 15 minutes before anyone picks up. If I could give negative stars, I would. This place should be shut down and their license revoked. While I was there, I was attacked by another patient (hit and my hair was pulled out). The prior day, the same patient had attacked another female; I asked the staff what they were going to do about. It appeared they did nothing. The next day, this same patient attacked me. They have staff watch you while you're sleeping to "prevent suicide". One of the staff members watching me sleep told me he'd "tap that ass". Understandab... read more

I just got out of Poplar Springs today and let me tell you that the facility its disgusting,staff treat you horribly, food is nasty sometimes, hygiene there is poor, and etc. The place didn't really help me, I mean there were no therapists to talk to. To me Poplar Springs is like a daycare, their just sheltering us. I never wanna go back there ever again, it was a hell hole.
