Outstanding company. Micky the owner is amazing. We bought this house in 2022 we have a large 35000 gallon gunite pool that was built in the late 70’s. It had set for years empty. So many pool contractors came by and didn’t seem positive about repairing. Michael Basford of POOLQUIP LLC is a LOCAL pool contractor here in Okeechobee. We met with other contractors, but once we met ‘Mick’ our decision was made. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. Not only are his prices AMAZING, he is more experienced than most pool contractors! He helped us design a pool that was within our budget and was very patient with us. Wow. A pool contractor that tells you what they will do, with a specific design, for a specific price. Can’t say enough good about Mik and Poolquip. Super easy process outside of the wait time (as he is backlogged)! Worth the wait, without a doubt. Had a number of pool contractors quote it. Mik was not the least expensive nor the most expensive, but the value of what he provided from design, quality of build and professionalism was worth every bit and more. Mickey form POOLQUIP come to our rescue after the original contractor we paid did part of the job then disappeared. Mickey came in & had to remove the improperly done work & start from scratch resurfacing the pool. In 3 weeks time Mickey gave us a beautifully completed pool that met all safety standards & codes.
